This is a great, basic stuffing!
3 Tablespoons butter
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup sliced celery
2 cups mushrooms
Salt and pepper
6 cups Herb (or Sage) stuffing croutons, (store bought)
1 cup chicken or veggie broth
Melt butter and add onion, celery and mushrooms. Saute until softened about 5-7 minutes. Add some salt and pepper, and then toss with your croutons. Moisten with broth, mixing well to coat. Let cool if stuffing the turkey, otherwise it can go right in the oven (in a oven-safe dish!) and bake for about 40 minutes.
